growing up in small town indiana, i was not your typical kid. i grappled with my gender at a young age and eventually transitioned from female to male at the age of 22. fast forward i battled addiction and mental health issues. fast forward to january 3rd of 2015. i fell down an escalator and fractured my ankle in 4 places. it never healed properly and i had 7 surgeries. i had a pain device implanted to deal with the pain and i used a bone exogen system after a failed fusion to try as a last ditch effort to save my leg. it also failed. i finally decided to proceed with a right below the knee amputation. the purpose of this site is mostly for me. to get through my feelings. but also to tell my story.
